Gaja Cyclonic Storm in Tamilnadu on 15th November 2018 Latest Updates:
The new cyclonic storm named as Gaja by Thailand is currently situated 860 km northeast of Chennai and moving at a speed of 12 kmph.
As per the India Meteorological Department IMD the Gaja cyclonic storm might cause heavy rain to Chennai and coastal areas of Tamilnadu state as well as Puducherry and Andhra Pradesh state in India.
It is expected that due to the cyclonic storm Gaja rain might start from 14th November 2018 night and the storm might cross the North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh coast between Cuddalore and Sriharikota on 15th November 2018, Thursday.
The India Meteorological Department IMD had also announced red alert to coastal districts of Tamil Nadu state as the deep depression over the Bay of Bengal.
The Fishermen of Tamilnadu, Puducherry and Andhra Pradesh state are advised not to venture into the sea and had also alerted Fishermen those who already in deep sea.
K Satyagopal Revenue Administration Commissioner had mentioned that medical teams were on stand by in all districts of Tamilnadu state.
The Government of Tamilnadu will also be announcing the Toll free and helpline number regarding the latest updates on cyclonic storm Gaja.
