Deepavali / Diwali 2017 Special Trains Tirunelveli, Madurai, Trichy, Chennai:
The Southern Railway of Indian Railways had recently announced the Diwali 2017 special trains for various destinations.
Every year for the Diwali festival the Southern Railways will be running extra special trains for various districts of Tamilnadu state in order to reduce huge crowd.
This year the Diwali 2017 festival in Tamilnadu is to be celebrated on 18th October 2017, Wednesday and the Southern Railways had started announcing the Deepavali 2017 special trains list.
The Diwali 2017 special fare special train is to be operated on 15th October 2017 from Tirunelveli Junction and will reach Chennai Egmore station on 16th October 2017.
The Special fare Diwali 2017 special train with number 06002 will depart from Tirunelveli Junction at 2.45 PM and arrives Chennai Egmore at 3.45 AM the next day.
The Diwali 2017 special train 06002 includes AC 2-tier – 1, AC 3-tier – 2, Sleeper Class – 12 & Luggage-cum-brake van – 2 coaches and the train will stops at various stations like Vanchi Maniyachchi, Kovilpatti, Satur, Virudhunagar, Madurai, Kodaikkanal Road, Dindigul, Tiruchchirappalli, Vriddhachalam, Villupuram, Chengalpattu, Tambaram and Mambalam.
The advance reservation of tickets for the Diwali 2017 special train with number 06002 had been started and ticket reservation can be done at various railway station ticket counters.
