Chennai Heavy Rain, Storm Water Latest Information and Weather Report:

Chennai Flood Rescue

The India Meteorological Department IMD had recently reported that heavy rains might hit in the upcoming week since low pressure in Bay of Bengal had been formed.

Due to heavy rain in Chennai Electricity had been turned off in major areas as a precautionary measure and holidays had been declared for all schools and colleges.

Due to the reason of water-logging cut-off of Telephone services had been happened in several areas of Chennai.

The India Meteorological Department had also released the Chennai city weather report for the next 6 days.

The India Meteorological Department had also stated that very heavy rainfall might hit districts like Cuddalore, Coimbatore, Nilgiris.

Till 6th December 2015, Sunday the Chennai airport will be remained closed as mentioned by Airport Authority of India AAI and the Southern Railway had also announced the cancel of trains to south part of Tamilnadu from Chennai.

The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa had aerial survey of flood affected areas in Chennai, Kanchipuram and Tiruvallur districts.

Narendra Modi Chennai Visit

The Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi had arrived at INS Rajali in Arakkonam on 3rd December 2015 to see the flood-hit Chennai.
